Has anyone heard of the 1 unit increase per win strategy? Basically you bet w/ 1 unit and increase 1 unit for every win until you lose a hand?

Bet 1 = 1 unit. W
Bet 2 = 2 units. W
Bet 3 = 3 units. W
Bet 4 = 4 units. L
Bet 5 = 1 unit

I saw someone try it online through 2 shoes and they came out with a profit after each run Played table w $25 minimum. Buy in $500. Opportunities for double downs and splits can possibly help the cause when there's a run.
Anyhow, I know things affect outcome w/ other players, etc, etc.

Just wanted to get some feedback on the system (or others)

Thanks in advance.

None of that shit is going to win
Someone once said that it is run like a slot machine
Every once in a while it lets someone win big
Not a random number generator
No idea whether that is true
Either way won't win
Online blackjack can only be won in the short term with luck
I once ran 300 into 5000 in a couple hours
I used some basic blackjack and some guessing going against the strategy
Largely a luck run

My next session was littered with the book hitting endless black jacks and 20
Quit when I went from 5,000 down to 2,000 and never played again

Progressive betting strategies don't change the expected value of the game.

Expected value will determine the success of any gambling long term.

With that said when I am at the casino with a few drinks and dont want to think very hard i go to the roulette table (could do this with black jack too but some issues). I look for what has come up the most recently red, black, odd, even and I am going to bet the opposite. I already know past has no effect on the future...but thought is there have been 6 reds in a row...black is due.

Then I use a method of a sequence with a goal. So for example I write down 1 1 the goal is to win $2. I wager $2. If I lose I add the lost to my sequence is 1 1 2. You then bet the outside numbers for a total of $3. I lose my sequence is 1 1 2 3. My next bet is $4. I win I cross out the two end numbers. 1 and 3. My sequence is now 1 2. My next bet is $3. Let say I win. I have finished my sequence and I am up $2. In this scenario I was 2 wins and 2 loses but up $2. You could go 4 wins and 6 loses and close out a sequence for example. The order of wins and loses doesn't effect the outcome. lose 6 in a row 1,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 then win 4 in a row win 8,7,7,7 and you are still up $2.

After one win and crossing out 2 numbers I usually switch to some other bet. Not black for the next win.

You can do whatever you want for the sequence to start with and it could be longer like 1 2 1 or 1 2 2 1 whatever you want. It is simple and takes almost no thinking.

Playing blackjack and counting cards takes more concentration and the sequence can get goofed up by splits, double down so I usually do it for roulette.

Won’t work. What if you get 4 splits and 3 doubles on one hand. Lol. Especially if you’re riding the 5-6unit bet and the dealer beats ya on all bets. Fucked

if your not card counting, and doing it at a successful % your never going to win long term. The odds are just not in your favor. But if you can master the craft, you will rarely have losing sessions. I caught a card counter last night. He made 8k in about 2 hours before I put a stop to it.

What was his spread? What was the game, decks, rules?

Why did you stop it? Does the casino give you a bonus?

But black isn't really due is it? I hate betting against a streak or with a streak.

I just double my bet if I hit a number in roulette and hope to get lucky with a repeater

Nah, it isn't due. He says that he's just doing it for fun basically.

Casino games can be broken down to simply this. If you flip a coin and when you call it correctly you win $48 and when you call it incorrectly you lose $52. This is the simplistic basis of all casino games(outside of card counting) there is no betting system that is ever going to break those odds. 0.

That is why you haven't heard of an MIT Baccarat team or an MIT Craps team etc.

Use betting systems for entertainment purposes or to keep your bank roll alive over an extended period of time, but don't fool yourself that you have found a system that will actually make you a profit, let alone make you a living.

This is pretty accurate 99% of the time. There are some rare situations where a video poker machine has very small +EV with perfect play,
or with promos factored in. But yeah, apart from counting cards in blackjack, it's pretty rare to find +EV situations in land-based casinos.

And now, with many casinos installing shuffle machines, and moving to BJ pays 6/5, finding worthwhile BJ games is few and far between.

Which is why I moved from BJ to poker (for the most part) 20 years ago.

Kinda agree. But not sure I believe him. No mid shoe entry so he’s sitting there playing a game he can only get a 11-1 spread on. Playing every hand at a $25 bet. He probably wasn’t a counter. I’d fire Kidman for kicking him off the game.

Unless he comes back and tells me it’s 80% pen, DAS, DOA and S17 and 6D. Maybe, but just maybe.
